Scrubbers Process
These are one of the primary devices that control gaseous emissions, especially acid gases. It is designed to effectively use the energy from the inlet gas stream to atomize the liquid being used to scrub the gas stream. There are two types of Scrubbers :
- Wet Scrubber – A wet scrubber is used for cleaning air, fuel gas or other gases of various pollutants and dust particles.
- Dry Scrubber – A dry or semi-dry scrubbing system, unlike the wet scrubber, does not saturate the flue gas stream that is being treated with moisture. Dry scrubbing systems are used to remove acid gases (such as SO2 and HCl) primarily from combustion sources.
Scrubbers Advantages
- Provides gas absorption and dust collection in a single unit.
- Can handle flammable and explosive dusts with little risk.
- Provides cooling of hot gases.
- Used to reduce particulate emissions in a number of industrial applications
- There is static fiber in filter material, so it has a good effect to filtrating micro dust and it has a good ability of capturing dust, high dust capacity, and good air permeability.
Scrubbers Contaminants Removed
Particulates, toxic or corrosive gases.
